The modelling of glass refining kinetics plays the mostimportant role for the industrial melting efficiency and glass quality control.Among different mathematical models of the process, the simplified descriptionsof bubble behaviour, based on experimental measurements, may be most acceptablefor mentioned applications. This work presents two models of single bubbles inglass melts: the steady state complete model and the simplified model utilizingthe experimental data as are bubble growth rates and bubble stationarycompositions. The verification of the simplified model is mentioned. The resultsof chemical and combined refining are presented, based on experimental data forthe simplified model.
